SUPPLY OF RAILWAY EQUIPMENT

RAILWAY BALLAST STONE SUPPLY

RIGEM supplies high-quality railway ballast stone sourced from Elsana Quarry in Malmesbury, Western Cape, supporting railway infrastructure, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects across South Africa.

Our ballast supply is engineered to meet the performance, durability, and compliance requirements typically specified by railway authorities and infrastructure managers, ensuring long-term track stability, operational safety, and reduced life-cycle maintenance.

ELSANA QUARRY MALMESBURY

Ballast is produced at Elsana Quarry, a controlled aggregate source known for consistent grading, angularity, and material strength.

Typical Characteristics:

Nominal stone size: 37.5 mm – 63 mm (or project-specified)
Angular crushed stone for optimal interlock
Low flakiness and high abrasion resistance
Controlled fines content to meet drainage requirements
High durability against weathering and mechanical breakdown

Material testing and quality documentation can be provided in line with project specifications and material approval requirements.

LOGISTICS & SUPPLY CAPABILITY
